Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Resource/Payroll Specialist.
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources and payroll functions within the organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and payroll administration, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism.
This is a key position that plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with relevant employment laws, and supporting the overall HR functions of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
Process biweekly/monthly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Calculate and record payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other relevant withholdings.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding payroll taxes, reporting, and record-keeping.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports for management.
HR Support:
Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and completing new hire paperwork.
Manage employee data and maintain accurate records in the HR information system.
Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
Support employee performance management processes, including performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
Compliance and Policies:
Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure compliance in HR and payroll practices.
Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and legal requirements.
Assist with internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare HR and payroll reports, including headcount, turnover, and compensation analysis.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Generate reports for management and provide insights and recommendations based on HR and payroll data.
