Invasive Radiologic Technologist, Per Diem, Variable Shift

The Invasive Radiologic Technologist works closely with a Radiologist while performing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
The Invasive Radiologic Technologist assists the Radiology RN with PICC line insertions and Midline catheter placements along with rotating ON CALL.
Invasive Radiologic Technologists also perform diagnostic radiology exams when needed.

Required Skills Excellent Communication skills Basic patient care and assessment Ability to work independently Computer skills Excellent guest relations skills Organized Work independently Work in a TEAM environment Technical skills in general radiography and fluoroscopy Knowledge of all vasculature and organ systems Knowledge of all interventional radiology procedures Skilled in the use of contrast agents, stents, PTA catheters, wires, guide catheter sheaths, thrombectomy, atherectomy, thrombolysis interventional equipment.
Knowledgeable in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection and medical terminology.
High degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques Spanish speaking preferred Required ExperienceRequired:
BCLS Registered and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (RT) or 10 years clinical experience in invasive radiology.
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) by the State of California Department of Public Health State of California Department of Public Health Fluoroscopy permit Preferred:
